Sinai Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Fremont, Nebraska is seeking candidates for two limited part-time music positions: adult choir director and youth choir director. These positions may be combined depending on the skills and interests of the applicants, and additional responsibilities (with additional compensation) may be negotiable. Sinai is a vibrant and welcoming congregation of 250 members, rooted in a rich liturgical worship tradition. Music is at the heart of Sinai and its members with a focus on offering a meaningful worship experience. Weekly worship reflects the shared talents of our community using a broad base of members from adults, to youth, to children. Our music ministry isn’t only focused on weekly worship but also extending our gifts and talents to the greater community through our Sinai Festival Sounds recital series with two or three programs a year. Other musicians include an organist/accompanist on staff, director and accompanist for younger singers (preschool through third grade), a handbell ensemble, and a self-directed recorder consort. Located in Fremont Nebraska, we are within a thirty-minute drive of Omaha and an hour from Lincoln and are neighbors to Midland University.

Sinai’s worship space is warm and welcoming with excellent acoustics for both spoken words and music. Congregational singing is led from a two-manual Juget-Sinclair pipe organ in the choir loft and a Steinway grand piano in the chancel. The choirs are accompanied by the organ and a Yamaha digital piano.
